Finch Has Open House

ELDERSBURG — Finch Services officially opened its second showroom in the county Saturday morning with a formal ribbon-cutting and open house noon to 4p.m.

The new showroom is in the Central Maryland Service and Distribution Center on Route 26 and features products geared toward the homeowner and commercial user.

The Finch familiy's Westminster showroom on Route 97 across from the airport, which has been in business since 1945, features major farm equipment.

Saturday's grand-opening featured a ribbon-cutting by Jackie Finch. Other family members, as well as Carroll County Commissioner President Donald Dell and Commissioner Julia Gouge, attended despite a persistent rain.

The weather didn't keep away potential shoppers, who browsed through the store's variety of lawn and garden products. The open house also featured food, entertainment and door prizes.

Factory representatives also offered demonstrations and discussed products with customers.

Ray Finch, manager of the company's turf equipment and government equipment sales, said they opened theEldersburg store to handle the large amount of business that was coming from the South Carroll and Howard and Baltimore county areas.
