John R. Farrell has been appointed vice president of operations for Constellation Energy Inc. He succeeds Donald Graf, who became manager, Nuclear Outage & Project Management Department last October. Farrell has 21 years of experience with General Electric in power generation service work.

Don Richard Associates of Baltimore has formed a new mortgage banking division headed by Hugh F. Coyle, who has more than 29 years of experience. He is a former director and president of the Maryland Mortgage Bankers Association. Coyle's responsibilities include executive search for permanent positions as well as developing a mortgage temporary service to assist lenders.

Francis "Frank" X. Bossle Jr., who has over 15 years experience in mortgage finance, has become president of Classic Mortgage Co., a newly formed mortgage company in Columbia. Robin Walker is appointed a staff accountant at Katz, Abosch, Windesheim, Gershman & Freedman, P.A.

David A. Balderson has been named brand and new-product-development manager for the supermarket prepared foods segment of the McCormick Flavor Group of McCormick & Co. Nancy Underriner has been promoted to sales and marketing services supervisor for the condiment business unit of the group.

Henning & Cole, physical and occupational speech therapists with offices in Baltimore and Harford counties, has named Ruth Wilson physical liaison for the 65-member practice.

Nancy Rivera-Cassell has joined the Columbia-FreeState Health System as a physician in the Annapolis Regional Medical Center and Dr. Rebecca Byrd has joined as a physician in the Harford Road Medical Center. Dr. Cedric A. Quick has joined the system as chief of the Otolaryngology Head and Neck Department.

J. Douglas Madeley has been named senior vice president, fleet services at PHH FleetAmerica, the vehicle management services firm owned by PHH Corp. Most recently he was president of PHH Asset Management.

Loryn S. Lesser, who has a doctorate and is accredited as a clinical mental health counselor and national certified counselor, has been appointed supervisor of the Employment/Career Development Division of Jewish Vocational Services. She comes JVS from Womancare, where she served as director for 12 years.

At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland's Information Services Division, Leland W. Johnson has been named vice president and Joseph Mullinix has been named manager of data center operations. Debi Kuchka-Craig has been named director of networks management for Blue Cross.

Jack W. Fowler has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Arcata Graphics Co. He had been chairman and chief executive officer of W.A. Krueger and will relocate to Baltimore from Phoenix.

Kevin Brown has joined the staff of Admiral Envelope & Printing ** Co. as the sales representative for the Baltimore-Washington corridor.

Real estate

Robert J. Mueller has been appointed a commercial property appraiser for B.F. Semon Inc., real estate appraisers and consultants based in Towson.


Hammerman Associates, a Columbia-based microcomputer training and consulting firm, has hired Alan Klein as training director. Klein is a former high school administrator.
