Roxanna B.W. Kieffer

Roxanna Byrd White Kieffer, a former feature writer for the Hagerstown Herald and The Sun, died Friday at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 93.

Services for Mrs. Kieffer were being held today at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Annapolis. Burial is in Rosehill Cemetery in Hagerstown.

She was the widow of John S. Kieffer, former president of St. John's College.

At The Sun, she collaborated with photographer A. Aubrey Bodine.

She and her husband maintained years-long friendships with St. John's alumni. Dr. Kieffer retired in 1969 and died in 1975. In 1984, Mrs. Kieffer was named an honorary member of the St. John's Alumni Association.

Mrs. Kieffer is survived by a niece, Dorothy White Morse of New Mexico, and two great-nieces.
