Brooklyn Park Bank Robbed Wednesday

A man escaped with an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday after holding up the Vermont Savings Bank at the Southview Shopping Center inBrooklyn Park.

Police say the bandit walked into the bank, in theunit block of Hammonds Lane, just before noon and handed a teller a note demanding money.

He got the money, ran from the bank and was last seen behind the shopping center, police say.

Police are looking for a white male, about 25 years old, 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, with brown hair and wearing a blue baseball cap,blue Windbreaker jacket, blue jeans, tennis shoes and mirrored sunglasses.

$500 REWARD OFFERED IN A PURSE SNATCHING

Annapolis police have offered a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of a purse snatcher.

Police say a woman was standing at the intersection of St. Johns and Calvert streets on Tuesday at 6:15 a.m. when a man wearing dark clothing grabbed her pocketbook.
