ROBBERY TRY: Southeastern District -- Police arrested a 24-year-old East Baltimore man who allegedly attempted to rob a patron of a tavern but was subdued and held by the intended victim and two other men until police arrived. Police said Aaron Townsend, 39, of the 4600 block of York Road, was in Honey's Tavern in the 1700 block of Gough St. early Tuesday when a man approached him and struck up a conversation. Police said the man put his hand in Townsend's right pants pocket and was trying to remove money when Townsend shoved the man away. They said the man attempted to strike Townsend, but was held by Townsend and two other patrons. When police arrived, they arrested Ronald Wayne Robinson, of the 2400 block of E. Biddle St., and charged him with assault and attempted robbery.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police today were searching for three men who robbed a disabled man of his electric wheelchair and other property last night. Police said Thomas Abell, 65, of the 4400 block of Newport Ave., was in the 2400 block of E. Northern Parkway around 9 p.m. yesterday when he was stopped by three men who demanded his wallet. Police said that when Abell refused to comply, one of the men removed the wallet from Abell's back pocket and took more than $100. Police said Abell asked the men to let him to keep his medical cards and identification, but one of them said, "Go to hell." Then they took his watch, wedding band and a gold ring. Abell told police that after robbing him of his cash and jewelry, one of the men said, "We haven't taken everything." With that, according to the police report, the men turned Abell's wheelchair over, throwing him to the ground. Police said Abell was left lying there as the thieves fled with his personal property and his motorized wheelchair, valued at $8,000. Moments later, a friend of Abell's came by and took the victim home.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Bernadette Seymour, of the 7300 block of Jim Rowe Court in Hollander Ridge, reported she was standing at her front door Tuesday night and looking for her house keys when a man came up behind her, grabbed her purse and fled. Police said the thief got cash, food stamps and other property, all valued at nearly $350.

RAPE: Northeastern District -- Police were seeking a man in his mid-20s or early 30s for the rape of an 11-year-old girl. The girl told police she was walking in the 3200 block of The Alameda yesterday when she was accosted by a man who forced her to accompany him into a wooded area near City College. There, the girl told police, the man raped her and then fled. Police said the girl was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Employees of the White Coffee Pot restaurant in the 3900 block of Erdman Ave. reported that someone entered the office through the roof and took more than $2,700 from the safe.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Mamie Cameron, of the 6000 block of Amberwood Road, reported that someone entered the bedroom of her home and removed a leather coat and several pieces of jewelry. Police said the property was valued at more than $800 and that a man known by Cameron is suspected of taking the property.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 3700 block of Loch Raven Blvd. by breaking a pane of glass out of a side door and removed a VCR, TV, a stereo turntable and jewelry, all with a total value of more than $1,000.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- William Adekanmbi, of the 6000 block of Amberwood Road, told police that a woman he knows entered his home and removed several hundred dollars in cash from a piece of luggage. Police said Adekanmbi was advised to seek a warrant for the woman's arrest.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Derek Martin, of the 1400 block of Stonewood Road, reported that while his car was parked in the 1500 block of Havenwood Road, someone broke into it and removed an in--- stereo radio valued at $300.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Asta Luik, of the 1200 block of Woodbourne Ave., reported that someone entered the back yard of her home and removed an aluminum extension ladder valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that several blank checks, a stereo amplifier, a VCR and a wallet containing money were removed from a dwelling in the 1200 block of Lakeside Ave. by someone who entered through a rear window.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Rosalie Hayes, of the 1800 block of Maulsby Court in Hollander Ridge, reported she was in the 1800 block of 62nd St. yesterday when a man approached her from behind and stole her purse, which contained $10 and a federal income tax refund check.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2700 block of The Alameda reported that someone broke into his home and removed property valued at nearly $850, including a safe, telephone and a VCR.
