Race to aid housing fund

An 8-kilometer footrace to raise funds for affordable housing will be held in Baltimore on Sunday, April 21.

The Run for Affordable Housing is expected to attract more than 5,000 entrants.

Money raised from the $10 entry fees will go to the Real Estate Center, a local non-profit institution that promotes affordable housing.

Hosts for the race are Maryland National Bank, WBAL-TV, the Johns Hopkins University Spring Fair and the Real Estate Center.

Co-sponsors for the race include Signet Bank, First National Bank, NCNB, Giant Foods, the Housing Assistance Corp., Savannah Development Corp., the Baltimore Urban League and Struever Bros., Eccles & Rouse.
