Services will take place for Glen Burnie resident Joan E. Rey at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Kirkley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rey, 58, died of heart failure March 2 at Harbor Hospital Center.
A Glen Burnie resident for 22 years, she was employed as a bookbinder with Minute Man Press in Glen Burnie until her retirement in 1991.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American LegionPost 276 and Patterson Park Alumna Club.
Her other interests included camping and shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Halver L. Rey Sr.; a son, Halver L. Rey Jr. of Glen Burnie; and a brother, James A. Mnielczarek Jr. of Pasadena.
CENAP S. DORKAN PHYSICIAN, 62
Services took place for Severna Park resident Cenap Suphi Dorkan April 4 at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
Dr. Dorkan, 62, died of a stroke April 2 at Meridian Nursing Center in Severna Park.
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, he was a resident of Severna Park for the past 22 years.
He moved to the United States in 1957 and became a naturalized citizen.
He was a resident in medicine at Harrisburg Hospital in Pennsylvania from 1959 through 1961, and practiced medicine in Glen Burnie, specializing in internal medicine, from 1966 to the present. He served as physician in charge of medical services at Crownsville State Hospital from 1961 through 1963, and worked at Baltimore General Hospital and North Arundel Hospital.
Dr. Dorkan was a member of the Anne Arundel Medical Society, American Society of Internal Medicine, American Medical Association, Masonic Lodge 13 andChartwell Country Club.
His other interests included boating, fishing, photography and music.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Watson Dorkan; a daughter, Jale Nuyan Dorkan; and a son, Murat Mehmet Dorkan.
