Anthony J. Mayo

Anthony J. Mayo, who owned a company representing various equipment manufacturers, died of cancer Thursday at St. Agnes Hospital. He was 69 and lived on Harwall Road in Edmondson Heights.

A memorial service for Mr. Mayo was being held today at the Howard H. Hubbard funeral establishment, 4107 Wilkens Ave.

Tony Mayo, as he was known to friends and associates, founded the Mayo Caster and Equipment Co. in 1965. For 15 years before that, he worked for another company that sold material handling equipment, the Colson-Merriam Co.

The native of Buffalo, N.Y., moved to Baltimore after serving in the Army in North Africa during World War II. He attended the University of Baltimore.

He is survived by his wife, the former Norine Boineau; and three sons, Michael Mayo of Dallas, Richard Mayo of Belcamp and Ronald Mayo of Edmondson Heights.
