The Bel Air Independence Day Committee has launched a business sponsorship program for the July 4 celebration in Bel Air.
The program allows companies to sponsor a specific activity or entry in the parade, such as an out-of-state marching band or the entire fireworks display.
The first sponsorship has been arranged with the Bel Air New Car Dealers Association. The association will sponsor the Baltimore ColtsMarching Band, said Benny C. Walker, president of the Independence Day Committee.
The band has never participated in the July 4 paradein the town. The Bel Air New Car Dealers Association includes Auto Village Oldsmobile-Cadillac-Jeep-Eagle, Bel Air Dodge, Bel Air-Nissan-Subaru, Bob Bell Chevrolet-Geo, Boyle Buick, Hinder Lincoln-Mercury-Isuzu, Jones Chrysler-Plymouth-Toyota-GMC, Plaza Ford, Scott Pontiac and Village Volvo.

PAIS NAMED PARTNER AT ABERDEEN LAW FIRM
Mara Devine Pais has been named a partner in the law firm Karas, Bradford & Pais.
The Aberdeen-based firm also announced that it has opened a satellite office at 9 South Hickory Ave., Bel Air.
Pais began working at the Aberdeen-based firm as an associate in 1989. Pais is a graduate of Trinity College in Washington, D.C., and the Catholic University School of Law.
Her concentrations of practice are domestic law, including independent andstepparent adoptions, and criminal and traffic defense.
She clerked for Harford Circuit Court Judge Cypert O. Whitfill. She lives in Bel Air with her husband and daughter.
NEW HOSPITAL CHAIRMAN
Richard D. Poteet has been named chairman of Fallston General Hospital's board of directors for 1991.
He will be assisted by Robert S. Harner, vice chairman; Ralph D. Walls, secretary; H. William Acker, treasurer, and Leonard E. Cantrell Jr., president.
Other directors of theboard include Frederick O. Mitchell and Dr. Peter Sitaris, presidentof the medical staff.
Fallston General Hospital is a member of The Upper Chesapeake Health System.
BANK MANAGER NAMED
Richard D. Walter has been named manager of two Maryland National Bank branches inHarford County -- Aberdeen Main at Bel Air Avenue and Howard Street,and Aberdeen Proving
Ground at Rock Island Road and Harford Street.
A graduate of Loyola College with bachelor of science degree ineconomics, Walter resides in Towson.
HCC HAS JOB FAIR
Harford Community College will host the seventh Harford County Job Fair from 3 to 7 p.m Thursday, April 10, in the college's Susquehanna Center.
Representatives from local and regional private sector companies and government agencies will discuss employment opportunities.
The fair is sponsored by the Harford County Job Fair Council, whose panel members include representatives from Harford Community College, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Harford County Office of Economic Development, Susquehanna Region Private Industry Council, Maryland Department of Economic and Employment Development -- Bel Air Job Service, and the Harford County Chamber of Commerce.
The event is open to Harford County residents, military personnel and their spouses and dependents, as well as civil service workers about to retire from APG.
