ANTHONY PAPPAS JR,ADMINISTRATOR, 48

Services took place for Annapolis resident Dr. Anthony Vincent Pappas Jr. March 30 at Taylor Funeral Chapel in Annapolis.

Dr. Pappas, 48, died of heart failure March 26 at Washington Hospital Center.

He supervised non-academic student services at Anne Arundel Community College since 1982. Prior to that, he worked for the American College Testing Program in Coralville, Iowa, and at the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg, where he was assistant vice chancellor.

Dr. Pappas had previously taught at the University of Mississippiwhile earning a master's degree in sociology and a doctorate in psychology.

He was a member of the Committee on the Future of MarylandCommunity Colleges, of accrediting teams of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and of the Parole Rotary Club.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Owens Pappas; two sons, Anthony V. Pappas III of Pasadena and Michael J. Pappas of Breckenridge, Colo.; a daughter, Christine Pappas Brewer of Spartanburg, S.C.; two stepdaughters, Kristi Regina and Kimberly Sussane Ulmer, both of Annapolis; andfour grandchildren.

ANGELA BROWN,HOMEMAKER, 76

Services took place for Linthicum resident Angela Brown March 30 at Singleton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown, 76, died March 26 at St. Agnes Hospital.
