March 31, 1991

Police are looking for a man who robbed the Second National Federal Savings Bank in Severna Park Friday afternoon.

Police said a man walked into the bank, in the 700 block of Gov. Ritchie Highway, at 12:30 p.m. and asked a teller for a loan application.

The man followed the teller to the manager's office, where he brandished a handgun and forced them to open the vault. He filled a bag with money and forced the bank employees into a back room before leaving.

Police said he was last seen getting into a silver or gray car.

He was described as a black male, 40 to 45 years old, 5 feet 10, with a medium build and wearing a gray suit with a green tie and a dress shirt.
