David L. Leppo

David L. Leppo, a management analyst for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, drowned Sunday after his canoe overturned in the Liberty Reservoir. He was 53 and lived in Sykesville.

He is survived by his wife, the former Jacquelyn Arnold; two sons Andrew O. Leppo and David L. Leppo Jr., both of Sykesville; a daughter, Caroline W. Leppo of Towson; two stepdaughters, Heather Arnold of Towson and Melissa Arnold of Alexandria, Va.; his mother, Edna B. Leppo of Hampstead; and a brother, Wayne R. Leppo of Hampstead.

The family suggested contributions to the Gamber Fire Department Water Rescue Squad or the Carroll County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
