SEX ARRESTS: Central District -- Police early today arrested three women and three female impersonators in the 600 block of N. Calvert St. on charges of soliciting for sex. Lt. James Henderson said complaints from private citizens and businesses the area led to the arrests of the six around 1:30 a.m. today after they had been warned several times to stay off the street. Henderson said the six were plying their trade when eight patrol cars blocked off the 600 block of N. Calvert St. at Centre Street on the south end and East Monument Street on the north. Henderson said two patrol wagons were used to haul the six to the station, where the impersonators were charged with loitering for lewdness and the women were charged with loitering for prostitution. Bail hearings were pending. The names of those arrested were not immediately available. Besides loitering, Henderson said, the six were reportedly impeding traffic by stepping into the road.

THEFT: Northern District -- Rhonda Carney, of the 4500 block of Finney Ave., reported that someone entered her city Department of Recreation and Parks office in the 4600 block of Lanier Ave. and removed a cassette player and several tapes. Police said the property was valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Northern District -- Steven Tamberino, of the 3300 block of St. Paul St., reported that someone broke into his 1987 Toyota while the car was parked near his home between Monday and Tuesday and removed a cassette player. Police said the property was valued at $400.

THEFT: Northern District -- Jenny Corckran, of the 6000 block of Lakehurst Drive in northern Baltimore County, reported that someone broke into her parked 1987 Toyota in the 100 block of St. Johns Road Tuesday and stole her purse containing cash and personal items. Police said the thief also stole six cassette tapes and that the total value of the property was $200.

THEFT/ARRESTS: Northern District -- Scott Cutter, a professional painter, reported that his parked 1987 Chevrolet van was broken into in the 3900 block of Roland Ave. Tuesday evening, and a gallon of white paint was stolen. Police said three male juveniles were later seen emptying the paint into a nearby alley and were arrested and charged as juveniles with theft. Police said the youths were released in the custody of their parents pending action by juvenile authorities.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Wayne Pennington, of the 5100 block of Conant Way, reported that during an incident in the 5500 block of Bowleys Lane yesterday, he was attacked by a man armed with a razor who cut him on his hands and face and then robbed him of $30. Later, Police arrested Mauri Harris, a resident of the 5500 block of Bowleys Lane, and charged him with assault and armed robbery. Police said Harris was being held at the Eastern District pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Bessie Faison, of the 1600 block of Kingsway Road, reported she was walking near her home yesterday morning when a youth in his mid-teens approached her from behind and stole her purse.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Karl Egenberger, of the 4200 block of Eastview Road, reported that someone broke into his parked car while it was parked near his home and removed cassette tapes valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of Johnny's Used Cars in the 4800 block of Harford Road reported that someone broke into two cars on the lot and removed their stereo radios, valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1500 block of Abbotston St. reported that someone broke into his home by forcing a rear kitchen door and removed a TV. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- John Berrella, of the 2200 block of Lake Ave., reported to police that someone entered the front porch of his home and removed property valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Corrine Betty, of the 1600 block of Homestead St., reported that someone entered the bedroom of her home and removed more than $100 from under the mattress. Betty told police that several people had access to the room.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone entered an apartment in the 1700 block of E. 29th St. yesterday and removed property valued at more than $1,000. Police said there were no signs of forced entry.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police yesterday arrested a 19-year-old female resident of the 2000 block of Bob Hendrickson Court and charged her with assaulting a 15-year-old girl during an incident near the victim's home, also in the 2000 block. Police said the victim sustained minor arm and shoulder injuries and that Tyleshia Spedden was being held at the women's detention center at the Central District pending a bail hearing today before a District Court commissioner.
