Diane Runkles has been named chief physical therapist for the Maryland Center for Physical Therapy. She specializes in orthopedics, manual therapy and sports medicine.

The Baltimore Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center has named Michael W. Neusch associate director. He previously served as associate director of the VA Medical Center in Perry Point. Dean R. Camlin has acquired the office of Melvin A. Arbaugh-Architect Inc. and has assumed the title of president. Arbaugh continues to be associated with the firm as senior architect. Camlin formerly held the title of project architect with the firm.

Penny Bonda has been promoted to director of marketing for Rita St. Clair Associates, an interior design firm.


KCI Technologies Inc., a consulting engineering firm, has appointed H. LeRoy Whiteley Jr. as head of the Water and Wastewater Division. The company was formerly known as Kidde Consultants.

Jeffrey G. Gaber has joined the firm as director of business development. He is responsible for the management of marketing, sales, strategic planning, proposal production and public relations.

MET Electrical Testing Co. Inc. has named Jeffrey J. Tozer as sales engineer in its Laboratory Group. Met provides telecommunications testing, safety certification, and environmental testing.

Real estate:

The KMS Group Inc. has promoted Sheryl L. Bruff to assistant vice president of administration. She previously served as administration services manager for the regional developer, which is a Constellation company. Walpert, Smullian & Blumenthal has promoted Michael J. Berman to manager of the Automotive Dealership Division. Sharon L. Zamkoff has been named administrative director of the Construction Industry Educational Foundation Inc. The foundation's purpose is to prepare students for a productive role in today's work force and enhance their awareness of opportunities available in the construction industry.

Financial services:

Loyola Federal Savings and Loan Association has promoted Kenneth R. Gift to senior vice president, loan servicing administration in the Operations Division. M. Virginia Bormuth has been promoted to vice president of compensation and benefits at Loyola. She has been with the savings and loan for 25 years. Marlin M. Mueller has been named chief actuary of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland's Individual Market Division. He previously served as actuary for Reserve Life Insurance Co. in Dallas. At Hartt and Company, Cami Colarossi and Mary Cook have been promoted to account executives.


Douron Inc., a distributor of office and educational furniture and equipment, has appointed Bryan A. Simmons executive vice president.


David W. Bodley has become an associate with the firm of Michael C. Hodes, P.A. He specializes in corporations, real estate, commercial transactions and related litigation. He previously was a law clerk to Judge Joseph H.H. Kaplan in Baltimore Circuit Court.
