Theodore P. Moore Jr. has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force upon graduation from Officer Training School, Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Precommissioning training included basic military subjects, leadership and management, human behavior,professional knowledge, and defense and professional studies.

He is the son of Theodore P. and Elizabeth L. Moore of Arnold.


Air Force Reserve Airmen 1st Class Darryl W. McNabb and Michael D. Boyd recently graduated from Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

McNabb is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith W. McNabb of Severn and a 1988 graduate of Glen Burnie High School. He is also a 1990 graduate of Anne Arundel Community College.

Boyd is the son of Helen D. Boyd of Annapolis. He is a 1986 graduate of Bullis High School in Potomac.


Army National Guardsman Elmer F. Reed III has completed the cavalry scout course at Fort Knox, Ky.

Students received basic combat and reconnaissance training, camouflage and concealment, communications, demolitions, and first aid.

He is the son of Elmer F. and Shirley L. Reed of Pasadena.


Pvt. John C. Horn II has completed a light wheel vehicle mechanic course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the course, students were trained to performmaintenance and assist in the repair of automotive vehicles and associated equipment.

Horn is the son of John C. Horn of Oak Hill, W.Va., and Margaret A. Johanknecht of Annapolis.

He is a 1990 graduate of Oak Hill High School.


Army Sgt. Christopher A. Stein has participated in Arctic Warrior 91, a training exercise for the defense of Alaska.

It provided an arctic environment for a major land battle between two large conventional forces in the state's interior, air-to-ground operations in support of the land battle, and air intercept operations.

The exercise is conducted every other year to train Alaska-based forces to employ and sustain combat units.

Stein is the son of Francis J. Stein of Arnold and Dorothy D.

Caine of Forest Hill.


Airman Michelle R. Wise has graduated from the information management specialist course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi,Miss.

Wise is the daughterof Barbara A. Arbersold of Glen Burnie and David C. Wise of Aylett, Va.


Airman 1st Class James F. Skovron has graduated from the air traffic control operator course at Keesler Air ForceBase, Biloxi, Miss.

Course graduates were taught aircraft recognition and performance navigational aids, and procedures to regulate air traffic and airport traffic control.

He is the son of Renea L. Skovron of Baltimore and Ronald W. Skovron of Pasadena.


Navy Seaman Apprentice John B. Amick, a 1990 graduate of Broadneck Senior High School of Annapolis, recently graduated from Basic Quartermaster School.

During the five-week course at Service Schools Command, Naval Training Center, Orlando, Fla., Amick received instructions on procedures for assisting navigators with the maintaining and correcting of ships' courses at sea.
