Baltimore City

THEFT: Eastern District -- Yaqub Martin, of the 2400 block of Loch Raven Road, reported that he saw three youths in his back yard Saturday night and later discovered the theft of 50 pigeons, valued at $3,000, from his coop.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that two men in ski masks, one with a sawed-off shotgun and the other with a sawed-off rifle, entered Thorn Rentals in the 5400 of Sinclair Lane over the weekend, forced an employee to open the safe, and fled with an undisclosed amount of jewelry, including several watches and rings.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A man with a handgun entered Shoe City in the 5600 block of the Alameda Saturday morning, forced three employees onto the floor in a rear stock room, tied their hands with duct tape, and stole an undisclosed sum of money from the safe and cash register.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Paula Bruening of Washington reported she was in the 1800 block of Bolton St. early yesterday when two men, one armed with a knife, robbed her of nearly $250.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Michael Battle, of the 400 block of Oxford Court, reported he was near his home shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday when he two men, one armed with a semiautomatic handgun, robbed him of money and personal items of unknown value.

THEFT: Central District -- Norman Willey, of the first block W. 23rd St., reported that someone broke a window in his car parked near his home Saturday night and stole property valued at $200.

ASSAULT: Central District -- Angel McKenzie, of Windsor Mill Road, reported that several men with baseball bats got out of a car and attacked him without provocation early yesterday while he was in the 100 block of E. Saratoga St. McKenzie was treated at Mercy Medical Center.

THEFT: Central District -- An employee of Daisy Maids Inc. in the 9000 block of Harford Road reported that someone broke a rear window in a company vehicle parked in the 100 block of E. Chase St. Saturday night and stole property valued at $400.

THEFT: Central District -- A resident of Pennsylvania reported that someone broke a window in her parked car in the 100 block of Concord St. yesterday afternoon and stole property valued at more than $1,000.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Reginald Roderick, of the first block of Fleming Drive in Turners Station, reported he was in the 500 block of St. Mary St. early yesterday when a man with a revolver robbed him of cash and property, all valued at more than $200.

ROBBERY TRY: Central District -- Wilfred Bridges, an out-of-town resident, reported he was walking in the 300 block of W. Monument St. shortly before 6 p.m. yesterday when a man attacked him, pushed him against the wall of a building and demanded his money. Bridges said the unarmed assailant searched him and let him go when he found no money.

THEFT: Central District -- An out-of-town resident reported that someone got into his parked car in the 1500 block of N. Charles St. through an unlocked door and stole property valued at more than $2,000.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A man entered the lobby of the Belvedere Hotel in the first block of E. Chase St. around 7 p.m. yesterday, ordered an employee to stand aside and stole about $100 from the cash register.

BURGLARY: Central District -- A resident of the 1900 block of Division St. reported that someone broke into his home through a rear basement door and stole a TV set valued at $300.

ROBBERY/SHOOTING: Eastern District -- Antonio Bland, of the 700 block of N. Lakewood Ave., reported he was in the 1100 block of N. Port St. shortly after 2 a.m. yesterday when a man with a handgun accosted him and demanded money. When Bland refused, the assailant knocked him down, shot him and stole his wrist watch. Bland was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- Johnny Bishop, of the 2400 block of Jefferson St., enlisted the help of a friend early yesterday and went looking for a man who had been fighting with Bishop earlier. While they were riding in Bishop's car, they found the quarry in the 800 block of N. Port St., but he saw them approach and opened fire with a handgun. Bishop's companion, James Andrews, of the 900 block of N. Belnord Ave., was shot in the hand. He was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Eastern District -- Police were holding at man pending charges that he assaulted Denise Addison, of the 1000 block of N. Caroline St., during an argument at her home over the weekend. The man was arrested at the scene. Addison was not seriously injured.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- A resident of the 1000 block of E. Preston St. reported that someone forced open a rear window at her apartment yesterday and stole a TV set and a VCR.

ASSAULT: Eastern District -- Joyce Smith, of the 1600 block of Ward Court, told police that a male acquaintance choked her with plastic cord during an argument at her home over the weekend. Police said she was not seriously injured.
