1990 record: 12-4 (lost to Severn in Maryland Scholastic Association A Conference semifinals)

Returnees: Seniors, Rob Chomo (att), David Jones (mid), Chris Brown (g), Brad Stevens (def), Mike Murray (def), Ryan Kelly (att), Greg Geiger (att) and Mike McLelland (att); juniors, Kip Gendell (mid) and Eamon McCormick (mid); sophomore, Kevin Reichardt (mid)

Newcomers: Junior, Todd Harrison (def)

Coach'soutlook: "We certainly have the people to put the ball in the cage, but the big question is, "Can we stop them (our MSA A Conference opponents) defensively?" We move the ball well and have pretty good balance. I certainly think we'll be competitive. We have three Division I players in Rob Chomo, David Jones and Chris Brown. A lot depends on what we do in the first few games."

Anne Arundel County Sun's outlook: The Saints certainly will have no difficulty putting the ball in the net this season but keeping it out of their own is a different story. St. Mary's does have senior goalie Chris Brown returning to the cage, but Brown may be under heavy fire with an inexperienced bunch of close defensemen scattered around the crease. Look for the Saints carrying the long sticks to age in a hurry in an MSA A Conference thattakes no prisoners. If St. Mary's defense answers its calling, the Saints will have no problem in returning to the conference tournament.
