Hmo Has Celebration

March 24, 1991

Columbia-FreeState Health System recently celebrated the opening of the HMO network's new Annapolis Regional Medical Center, a 66,000-square-foot facility, located at the nearby West Woods complex in Annapolis.

The relocation from the HMO network's old site at Riva Road was necessary to accommodate increasing patient demand.

According to Columbia-FreeState, in 1984 approximately 500 patients visited the Riva Road site, but by 1990 that number had grown to 25,000.

The center offers services to members and non-members of the Columbia-FreeState Health System.
