* OUTLOOK: The Capitals (34-34-6) are still fighting for a playoff berth in the Patrick Division, where they moved up to fourth with last night's 6-2 win over the Islanders. The Caps have won three of their last four and are unbeaten in the last four road games (3-0-1). Now they return home, where they are 19-13-4, for two key games. About 2,500 tickets remain for tonight's game against Minnesota (26-34-14), which has clinched a playoff spot in the Norris Division. Two former Skipjacks will be starting in opposite goals, Jon Casey (20-17-11, 2.97 goals-against average) for the North Stars and Don Beaupre (17-16-2, 2.79 GAA) for the Caps. Casey has won five of his last six games.

Boston (41-23-11) is coming off a 3-3 tie at home against Quebec last night. The Bruins, who have clinched the Adams Division title, have a 17-14-6 record away from Boston Garden this season. The Caps will be without defensemen Chris Felix (ankle) and Neil Sheehy (back).
