Coach's outlook: "Everyday we're looking better and better. Right now, we're stressing teamwork and fundamentals. If we keep improving the way we are, I think we'll have a chance at doing at least as well as we did last year. While we want to win, our main goal this year is steady improvement. So far, we're looking good both offensivelyand defensively; our weakness may be inexperience. Although we do have a good number of seniors, many of them haven't played all four years here, and we do have a lot of younger players. But who knows, our inexperience may work in our favor. We may be too naive to think that we can't beat the tougher teams in our league, and maybe we won't have to think our way through games. I've seen strange things happen."

Anne Arundel County Sun's outlook: The Mustangs may be a year or two away from serious playoff contention, though they may have enough firepower to pull a mild upset here and there. Meade will face its most strenuous part of the season when it faces Annapolis, Southern and St. Mary's all in a row during the middle of the season. A victoryin one of these three games may give the Mustangs the confidence to finish at .500.
