The county chapter of the Home Builders Association of Maryland's will meet at 6 p.m. March 19 at Busch's Chesapeake Inn, two miles west of the Bay Bridge on Route 50 in Annapolis.
The guest speaker willbe Anne Arundel County Executive Robert R. Neall, who will discuss "A Cooperative Effort for Intelligent Growth" with members.

"Understanding the State Procurement Process for Greater Profits" is the topic of a seminar sponsored by the Greater Annapolis Chamber of Commerce from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. March 19 in the chamber's conference room at 1 Annapolis St. in Annapolis.
The seminar will be presented by Leonard Elenowitz, senior industrialrepresentative with the Department of Economic and Employment Development Division of Business Development. Elenowitz is responsible for the Procurement Assistance Outreach Program, the Maryland with Pride Program, and the State Foreign Procurement Offset Program.
Seminartopics will include: "Understanding the system -- who really buys?";"Bidders' list -- finding out where the work is"; "Marketing to the proper sources"; "Minority certification and small business set-asides"; and "Introducing new products."

The second session of "Effective Benefit Strategies for Small Business Since Tax Reform Act of 1986," a business enhancement workshop sponsored by the Entrepreneur's Exchange, will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. March 19 in the lower level conference room of the Conte Building, 116 Defense Highway, Annapolis.
The session will cover pensions, profit sharing, pension alternatives and concepts for pension funding. The workshop will help assess the type and design of plans, administration, cost factor, and alternatives for key people and owners. Creative ways to minimize taxes and accumulatewealth will be discussed.
Speakers will be Dale Snyder, owner of an executive benefit planning firm; Richard Weintraub, practicing taxattorney specializing in the employee benefit field, and Dulaney Logan, Investment Advisor at Prudential-Bache Securities specializing inlong-range pension and retirement funding for area businesses to getserious about maximizing money spent.
