GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS

This is a weekly summary of selected prime contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.

Defense contracts

Digital Equipment Corp. in Lanham won a $54,096,250 contract from the Air Force to provide local area network hardware, software, installation, maintenance, training, data, spare parts and network analyst/engineering support services for Department of Defense agencies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

AAI Corp. in Hunt Valley won a $6,390,799 contract from the Navy to provide contractor maintenance services and support.

Booz, Allen and Hamilton Inc. in Bethesda won a $2,684,858 contract from the Strategic Defense Initiative Organization to provide systems engineering and technical assistance.

JSA Healthcare Corp. in Columbia won a $985,807 contract from the Air Force to provide health-care services and related support services for the clinic at Pease Air Force Base, N.H.

ARC Professional Services Group in Rockville won a $617,442 contract from the Navy to provide training courses for Navy chaplains.

Welch and Rushe Inc. in Capitol Heights won a $451,800 contract from the Navy to replace the water pipes in buildings.

Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Baltimore, in conjunction with Mitsubishi, won a $405,822 contract from the Navy to supply five red crypto-interface units.

Andrulis Research Corp. in Bethesda won a $281,813 contract from the Navy to provide technical and program support services for advanced ASW programs.

Schildt Construction Co. Inc. in Thurmont won a $188,552 contract from the Army to provide renovation and addition to Building 621 at Fort Detrick.

Andrulis Research Corp. in Bethesda won a $181,110 contract from the Navy to provide administrative and technical services.

Non-defense contracts

RMS Associates in Linthicum won a $40,984,783 contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to provide management for and operate a NASA STI facility.

Social and Scientific Systems Inc. in Bethesda won a $22,158,011 contract from the National Institutes of Health to provide an operations office.

McDonnell Douglas Space Systems in Rockville won a $5,720,198 contract from the Patent and Trademark Office to provide program management and support services.

Development Associates Inc. in Bethesda won a $2,100,000 contract from the Agency for International Development to provide a cereal marketing project for Morocco.
