Bullets preview

March 15, 1991|By Sandra McKee

* WHEN: Tonight, 8.

* WHERE: Capital Centre.

* TV/RADIO: HTS; WTOP-AM 1500, WINX-AM 1600.

* OUTLOOK: The Bullets (23-39) ended a nine-game losing streak with a 103-100 victory at Charlotte Tuesday and now take on the Celtics (47-17), who have the third best record in the NBA. Bernard King (lower back) is expected to return after missing Tuesday's game, and Darrell Walker (knee) has been cleared to play but is questionable. If Walker can't go, Haywoode Workman will start.

Two matchups worth watching: Bullets center Pervis Ellison, who has averaged 14.9 points and 10.1 rebounds as a starter in the past 12 games, will go against the Celtics' grand old man, Robert Parish. And Harvey Grant (sore foot), returning for the first time in four games, will match up with Larry Bird. The Bullets are 1-3 against the Celtics this season, winning at home on Jan. 12, 116-99, in a game Bird sat out.
