$500 Is Missing From High's Safe

Police are investigating the apparent theft of $500 from a safe in aLinthicum convenience store Tuesday.

A clerk at the High's store,in the 400 block Camp Meade Road, told police she counted the $500 in the safe when she came to work at 5:15 a.m.

She said when she went back to the safe at 1:30 p.m., the money was gone. The clerk and another worker were the only employees with access to the safe that day, the police report says.

Both clerks denied taking the money and a search of their cars turned up nothing, the police report says.


A 23-year-old Glen Burnie man was robbed at gunpoint by two men in the parking lot of his apartment complex Wednesday night.

Steven Phillip Sauageaux, of the 6300 block Centennial Circle, told police that he had justparked his car when the two men came up to him. One man pointed a gun at him and the second man demanded his money.

Sauageaux said he gave the men his wallet containing four credit cards and a small amount of cash. The men ran to an older model Chevy Caprice, parked on Heritage Hill Drive, and drove toward Furnace Branch Road.

The firstman is described as a black male, 18, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with a medium complexion. He was wearing a green heavy jacket with fur around the hood.

The second man is described as a black male, 18- to 22-years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall and wearing a tan jacket.
