Centreville native

A memorial service for Mary Elizabeth Tuttle, who taught as a young woman and was active in the Centreville community, will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Centreville.

Mrs. Tuttle, who was 93 and a Centreville resident, died of heart failure Tuesday at the William Hill Manor Health Care Center in Easton.

A Centreville native, the former Mary Elizabeth Bishop graduated from Centreville High School and what is now Towson State University. She taught in Queenstown before marrying Washington Irving Tuttle IV in 1923. Mr. Tuttle died in 1951.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Tuttle Freestate of Centreville; a son, Washington Irving Tuttle V of Queenstown; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Ida May Michie

Retired sales clerk

Services for Ida May Michie, a retired department store clerk, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Barranco and Sons Funeral Home, Ritchie Highway and Robinson Road in Severna Park.

Mrs. Michie, who was 78 and lived in Severna Park, died Monday of heart failure at the North Arundel Hospital.

She retired 13 years ago from the Hochschild Kohn store at the Harundale Mall. A jewelry sales clerk, she had worked at the store for about 20 years and earlier at Robinson's Department Store in Glen Burnie.

Born in Baltimore, the former Ida May Krieger was a graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame.

She had lived in Glen Burnie and later in Lake Shore before moving to Severna Park 11 years ago.

Her first husband, Arthur William Heath Sr., died in 1972.

She is survived by her husband of 11 years, E. Milton Michie; a son, Arthur William Heath Jr. of Lake Shore; a stepson, Walter Milton Michie of Owensboro, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Linda West of Hampton, Va.; a sister, Doris King of Hayes, Va.; and five grandchildren.
