Byron Escorts Bush

U.S. Representative Beverly B. Byron, D-District 6, was one of six congressional members who escorted President Bush into the House of Representatives for his speech Wednesday to the joint session of Congress.

The six were chosen because they have children serving in the Persian Gulf, said Byron spokesman Beau Wright.

Byron's son, Kimball, is an Air Force reservists who was called to the gulf last December. The 35-year-old pilot flies KC-10 refuelingaircraft and also is qualified to fly B-52s.
