Joseph Anthony Milano, a former state delegate and retired sanitation supervisor for Baltimore, died of heart disease Friday at Homewood Hospital South on North Charles Street.
A mass of Christian burial for Mr. Milano, who was 88 and lived in Northwood, was being offered today at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, 5401 Loch Raven Blvd.
The son of an immigrant carpenter in Little Italy, Mr. Milano went to St. Leo's parish school.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Milano is survived by two daughters, Helen C. Milano and Josephine Wood, both of Baltimore; two sons, Michael Milano of Bel Air and Dominic Milano of White Hall; a sister, Lucille Pecora of Towson; and five grandsons.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
