Services for Louis C. Cephus, a retired major in the Army's Medical Administrative Corps who later held a series of civilian jobs, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Cherry Hill United Methodist Church, 3225 Round Road.
Major Cephus, who was 61, died Monday of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease, at his home on Pentwood Road.
Born in Flatonia, Texas, he studied business administration at several colleges while in the Army.
After retiring from the military in 1968, he traveled extensively as a detail man, promoting the use of pharmaceutical products for Sterling Drugs Inc. until 1984. He also was a department manager at a Hechinger's store in Deptford, N.J., before his final retirement in 1989.
