East Coast Conference first-round pairings

* WHEN: Tomorrow, 2 p.m.

* WHERE: Towson Center.

* RADIO: WITH-AM 1230.

* OUTLOOK: Hofstra (14-13, 7-5) dropped from second place to the fourth seed with a three-point loss to Delaware last week. Seniors Erroll Flanigan, Derrick Flowers (of Milford Mill) and Anthony Knight are averaging 12 points each. Fifth-seeded UMBC (6-21, 4-8) found some continuity and a four-game win streak in February. Hofstra swept the season series, winning by 19 at home, and by six at UMBC.


* WHEN: Tomorrow, 4:30 p.m.

* WHERE: Towson Center.

* OUTLOOK: Central Connecticut (4-23, 2-10) has lost six in a row and is down to nine players. With seven straight wins, Delaware (15-12, 8-4) is the ECC's hottest team. The second-seeded Blue Hens beat the Red Devils by 29 at home, but only four on the road.


* WHEN: Tomorrow, 7 p.m.

* WHERE: Towson Center.

* OUTLOOK: Drexel (12-15, 7-5) beat Rider twice by a total of four points this season. The third-seeded Dragons have held opponents to a 38.4 field goal percentage in the last 12 games. Rider's Darrick Suber (17.9 points) sat out Saturday's 75-72 loss to Drexel with a sprained ankle, but the ECC's leading three-point shooter is expected to play for the Broncs (12-15, 4-8).
