Dorothea Morgan Hospital Dietitian

Dorothea Tuxford Morgan, a retired hospital dietitian, died of complications from a stroke Feb. 21 at Lysock View Nursing Home in Williamsport, Pa., where she had lived since 1983. She was 83.

The former Middle River resident retired as a dietary supervisor in 1965 from the old Baltimore City Hospitals, where she had worked more than 10 years.

Mrs. Morgan, who was born in New Kensington, Pa., moved to Baltimore in 1959.

Her first husband of 29 years, Lester L. Tuxford, died in 1963. In 1984, she married Charles Morgan, who died the next year.

She is survived by five sons, Ira W. Tuxford of Williamsport, JohL. Tuxford of Phoenix, Ariz., James E. Tuxford of Tifton, Ga., Donald E. Tuxford of White Hall and Robert P. Tuxford of Baltimore; a daughter, Betty Haas of Williamsport; a brother, George Patz of Cherry Tree, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grand- son.

The family suggested donations to the American DiabeteAssociation, 2 Reservoir Circle, Baltimore 21208.

Services were held Feb. 25 in Williamsport.
