Krivak to speak at Scholar-Athlete awards affair

Maryland football coach Joe Krivak is the featured speaker for next Wednesday's Scholar-Athlete Awards Dinner at Martin's West.

Sponsored by the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame, the 28th annual affair will honor 90 top senior student-athletes from the football-playing schools in the metro area.

Among the players eligible for various college scholarships will be 55 team captains, 13 All-Metro selections, five National Merit Scholars, three valedictorians and two with perfect 4.0 grade-point averages.
