Audrey Hill Brown

Audrey Hill Brown, a retired Dunbar High School teacher, died Saturday of cancer at her home on Liberty Heights Avenue. She was 79.

Services for Mrs. Brown will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Sharp Street Memorial United Methodist Church, 1206 Etting St.

She retired in 1973 after teaching business courses at Dunbar for more than 30 years.

The former Audrey Hill was born in St. Louis, but she was reared in Baltimore and graduated from Douglass High School.

She earned a bachelor's degree at Hampton University and a master's degree from Columbia University. She also did graduate work at Loyola College and Morgan State University.

She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta sorority, the Las Amigas social club, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Baltimore Urban League.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband of 44 years, Douglass B. Brown, a retired supervisor at the main post office.
