SALISBURY -- Seniors Larry Stewart and Reggie Isaac guided Coppin State (18-9, 14-2) to a 94-69 victory over the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (5-20, 3-13) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference meeting at the Wicomico Civic Center yesterday.
Stewart had 28 points and 16 rebounds, and Isaac scored 24 points.
Coppin scored the first five points of the game and led, 28-16, before UMES drew within 35-34 on a three-point basket by Shawn Johnson. Issac scored five in a 9-0 string by the Eagles, who led, 44-34, at the half.
