Mary McGarrahan Analyst for NSA

A Mass of Christian burial for Mary Delia McGarrahan, a retired analyst with the National Security Agency, will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Ritchie Highway and Cypress Creek Road in Severna Park.

Mrs. McGarrahan, a Millersville resident, died of pneumonia Friday at North Arundel Hospital. She was 44.

Born and reared in Waterville, Maine, the former Mary Delia Hyde attended private school and Colby College, graduating in 1968. She was employed by the NSA from 1968 until her retirement in August 1990. Her interests included gardening, knitting, sewing and cooking.

Mrs. McGarrahan is survived by her husband, Gerald McGarrahan; a daughter, Amy T. McGarrahan; and a son, Timothy P. McGarrahan, all of Millersville; her mother, Irene M. Hyde of Waterville; and a brother, William T. Hyde, also of Waterville.
