* OUTLOOK: The Blast, fresh off its 6-0 shutout of Tacoma, takes on Western Division leader San Diego tomorrow. Coach Kenny Cooper said he feels his team is facing the Sockers at a good time. San Diego (23-13) plays in Tacoma tonight and then returns home for this matchup between the longtime rivals. The Blast (19-18) is 1-0 at San Diego this season.

Sunday offers Tacoma (18-19) a chance to get even for last Monday's shutout in Baltimore. The Stars have had the Blast's number in the Dome, with a 2-0 record this season.

Blast midfielder Billy Ronson will be looking for his sixth hat trick fTC of the season this weekend. That would tie Joe Fink's team record, set in 1981-82. And Tim Wittman is looking to continue the most torrid scoring tear of his 10-year MSL career. He has at least one point in 18 straight games, the fourth longest streak in franchise history.
