Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Central District -- Albert S. Ott, of the 2600 block of Hudson St., reported he was in the 200 block of W. Fayette St. shortly after 10 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by a man who forced him to give up his money. Police said the man fled with more than $60.

THEFT: Central District -- Norman W. Flora, of the 7800 block of Birmingham Ave. in Parkville, reported that while his car was parked in the 800 block of Cathedral St., someone broke into the vehicle and stole a radar detector. Police said the property was valued at $100.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Richard Crane, 20, of the 1500 block of Abbotston St., reported that someone stole more than $700 from his car while he was driving around town yesterday. Crane said he discovered the money missing when a man who was with him left the vehicle and failed to return.

THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Margie Wilson, of the 5400 block of Sagra Road, reported that while her Nissan was parked in the 1400 block of Stonewood Road, someone broke into the vehicle and stole a coat, personal items and business papers. Police said the property was valued at nearly $2,000. Police said entry was gained by breaking a window. Later, police arrested a man and charged him in the theft. Police said Kenneth Clark, 20, of the 1300 block of Pentwood Road, was being held at the Eastern District pending a bail hearing before a District Court judge.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Employees of Auto Craft Body Shop in the 1100 block of E. 25th St. reported a man they recognized entered the business Wednesday evening and forced them to give up money at gunpoint. Police said the gunman escaped with nearly $140 and was later arrested.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a truck owned by Craftmasters Inc. in the 1800 block of Wilhelm St. while the vehicle was parked in the 6700 block of Moravia Park Drive yesterday and stole an extension ladder. Police said the ladder was valued at more than $100.

ARSON: Northeastern District -- Police were seeking the person who set fire to the rear of a house in the 1700 block of Carswell St. early yesterday. Police said someone used matches to set fire to a rear wall of the house shortly after 3 a.m. and that the fire caused an estimated $5,000 in damage. Police said the dwelling was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Greg Goscinski, of the 3600 block of Erdman Ave., reported his Jeep was parked in the 3600 block of Elmley Ave. when someone entered it by cutting the cloth top and stole radio equipment valued at $500.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of Coffee Butler Service Inc. in the 7500 block of Connelley Drive in Hanover, Anne Arundel County, reported a company vehicle was parked in the 3200 block of Elmley Drive when someone broke into the vehicle and stole three boxes of coffee, a box of cocoa and containers of sugar and cream. Police said the property was valued at more than $150 and that entry was gained by forcing a door open.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported a man armed with a handgun entered the Stadium Lounge in the 3300 block of Greenmount Ave. early yesterday and ordered the bartender to give him the contents of the cash register. Police said the gunman was given more than $100 and fled. Police said the robbery occurred about 12:15 a.m. yesterday while there were a few customers present.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Employees of Snap-Wall Inc. in the 2800 block of Sisson St. reported that someone broke into their building and stole equipment valued at more than $500. Police said the burglar made off with an electric cutting machine, a battery and at least two battery chargers.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2700 block of N. Howard St. reported that someone broke into his home by forcing a basement door and stole property valued at more than $600. Police said the intruder escaped with a VCR, compact disc player, an electric drill, a saw and other tools.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Antoinette Bailey, of the 4300 block of Marble Hall Road, reported she was walking near her home yesterday when she was attacked from behind by a man who grabbed her around the neck and threw her to the ground. Police said the man then robbed Bailey of her purse containing $39.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Disu Buhari, of the 1400 block of Limit Ave., reported that someone broke into his car while it was parked near his home and stole the vehicle's twin T-tops. Police said the value of the equipment was not immediately known and that entry was gained by breaking a door lock.
