Eleanor N. Seledee, a Catonsville resident who wrote a widely used reference book for paralegals, died Jan. 19 at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park after suffering a heart attack while at work in Howard County. She was 60.
The former Eleanor N. Pupo was born and reared in Mount Carmel, Pa. After her graduation from Pennsylvania State University in the early 1950s, she taught at various public and Roman Catholic schools in Maryland, including Catonsville Senior High School.
She married Michael J. Seledee of Catonsville in 1960.
While their children were young, Mrs. Seledee assisted occasionally as a substitute teacher, but she later began a new career as a paralegal. She was associated with two firms in Catonsville and most recently worked for the Ellicott City law offices of James L. Mayer.
