Roger T. Warren Sr., a retired repair foreman for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. and an officer of a family-owned marina in Arnold, died Tuesday in his sleep at his home at the Ferry Point Yacht Basin on Mill Creek Road.
Services for Mr. Warren, who was 89, were being held today at the Barranco funeral establishment, Ritchie Highway and Robinson Road, Severna Park.
Mr. Warren had been vice president and general manager of the yacht basin since retiring nearly 25 years ago from C&P, where he worked for more than 40 years.
A native of Grays, near Ellicott City, he was a graduate of Catonsville High School and lived in that community for many years. He also attended St. John's College and Johns Hopkins University.
A life member of the Severna Park Rotary Club, he belonged to the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Annapolis Yacht Club, the Chartwell Country Club and St. Margaret's Episcopal Church.
His first wife, the former Eloise Lacy, died in 1958.
He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Klemm; a son, Roger T. Warren Jr. of Linthicum; a daughter, Mary J. Finkle of Annapolis; two sisters, Ruth Warren of Annapolis and Frances Maher of Cape Coral, Fla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
