Services for Warren A. Grant, assistant principal of Western High School, will be held at noon today at the Douglas Memorial Community Church, Lafayette and Madison avenues.

Mr. Grant, who was 54 and lived on North Carey Street, died Friday at University Hospital after a long illness.

Before becoming assistant principal at Western eight years ago, he was assistant principal at Northwestern High School. He began his career in the Baltimore public schools in 1962 as a social studies teacher at what is now the Lombard Middle School.

At Douglas Memorial Community Church, he was a member of the usher board.

A native of West Chester, Pa., and graduate of Lincoln University, he served in the Army before beginning his teaching career in Baltimore.

He is survived by his parents, Clinton B. and Alverta Grant of West Chester; a sister, Betty Marie Grant of West Chester; and a nephew, Clinton B. Grant III of Baltimore.

The family suggested contributions to the Elevator and Organ Fund at Douglas Memorial Community Church.
