*Monday: Ashraf Ghani, of Johns Hopkins University's anthropology department, will speak on "The Middle East: the Past and the Present" at 6 p.m in Levering Hall on the Hopkins Homewood campus. The public is invited to the free lecture.
*Wednesday: Judith Kipper, a guest scholar at the Brookings Institution, will discuss "Beyond War in the Gulf" at 6 p.m. in the multipurpose room of AMR I hall on the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. Also, James Zogby, director of the Arab-American Institute, will speak on "An Arab-American Perspective on the Gulf." The free event is open to the public.
