Lowes' Mattingly Is Top Hotel Employee

Chara Mattingly of Loews Annapolis Hotel was recently awarded the Employee of the Year Award from the Maryland Hotel and Motel Association Inc. at the organization's annual awards ceremony in Beltsville.

Mattingly was cited for improving communications among her staff and implementing a recycling program between the Loews hotel and the Providence Center in Annapolis.

Originally from Kentucky, Mattingly has been with Loews Annapolis Hotel for almost three years, where she has served clients in the hotel's Corinthian Restaurant and the Weather Rail Lounge.

She has received a "Best Server" award from her staff. In addition to the plaque for her award, Mattingly was given a weekend for two at a Baltimore hotel.
