Columbia FreeState Health System recently celebrated the opening of the HMO network's new Annapolis Regional Medical Center, a 66,000-square-foot facility at the West Woods complex, Annapolis.

The relocation became necessary to accommodate the growing number of patients visiting the Riva Road site. In 1984, 500 patients used the center, increasing to 25,000 in 1990.

The new complex features expanded facilities for pediatrics, radiology, pharmacy, internal medicine, family practice, ophthalmology, OB-GYN and dental services. The center offers services to both membersand non-members of the Columbia-FreeState Health System.
