Services for Lloyd E. Gales, 56, a retired U.S. Air Force technical sergeant, will take place at the Baptist City Temple of Baltimore at 6:30 p.m. today.
Mr. Gales, of Woodlawn, died Tuesday at Loch Raven Veterans Hospital after a 10-year illness.
He served 22 years in the Air Force, most of them abroad, before retiring in the mid-1970s. He worked for four years in Saudi Arabia as a supply manager for the Lockheed Corp. before returning to the United States in 1979.
Mr. Gales was a native of Baltimore and attended Dunbar High School, completing his secondary education in the military.
Surviving are a son, Lloyd E. Gales II; his mother, Sallie Miller; two sisters, Juanita G. Morton and Yvonne G. Mitchell; two brothers, Franklin M. Gales and Norman Miller; and a grandson, Desmond, all of Baltimore.
