Federal Contracts Report is a weekly summary of selecte contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors of the Baltimore area. As Operation Desert Storm continues, government contracts of the region reflected a military bent.

* Westinghouse Electric Corp. of Baltimore won a $635,372 contract from the Air Force for electrical and electronic equipment components. It was the second Air Force contract awarded to Westinghouse this month. Last week the company won a $9.5 million contract to provide technical support to the Air Defense System for the Royal Saudi Air Force.

Westinghouse Electric Corp. of Hunt Valley also won two Air Force contracts. One $8,337,950 contract is to supply spare parts for avionics intermediate test systems for the F/FB-111 aircraft. The second contract totaling $1,742,694 will supply electrical and electronic equipment components.

Nurad Inc. of Baltimore also won an Air Force contract that totaled $129,108 to supply an antenna.

* Free State Reporting Inc. of Annapolis won a $566,280 contract from the Department of Justice to provide transcription services.
