George A. Seymour Sr., who had been a bank executive in St. Michaels and Baltimore, died Feb. 7 after a long illness at the Meridian Nursing Center-The Pines in Easton, where he lived for the past year.
Services for Mr. Seymour were held Monday at the Harrison E. Leonard Funeral Home in St. Michaels.
At 93, he was the oldest surviving retiree of Baltimore's Union Trust Bank, now part of Signet Bank.
Mr. Seymour was born and reared in the Talbot County town of Royal Oak and graduated from St. Michaels High School.
After leaving school, Mr. Seymour joined the St. Michaels Bank, where he remained for 25 years, eventually becoming its manager.
In 1941, he left the bank and for a year operated a furniture business in St. Michaels.
In 1942, he moved to Baltimore and joined Union Trust. He first managed a branch on Lloyd Street and then another on North Avenue. In 1962, he retired from the bank and moved back to St. Michaels.
