Kenneth Bolender Worked in construction

Services for Kenneth W. Bolender, who retired as a general superintendent of Potts and Callahan Inc., will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Leroy and Russell Witzke Funeral Home, 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville.

Mr. Bolender, who was 75, died of cancer Saturday at his home in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The Canton, Ohio, native moved to Florida after retiring eight years ago from the paving company, where he had worked since 1945.

During World War II, he worked on the construction of military airfields in the South.

He was a member of Moose lodges in Glen Burnie and in St. Petersburg and belonged to the United Brotherhood of Operating Engineers.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Cora L. Isanhart; a son, Nelson K. Bolender of Elkton; a daughter, Martha M. Russell of Catonsville; a brother, Donald Bolender of Hudson, Fla.; two sisters, Martha Jane Boone of Stow, Ohio, and Kathleen Kessler of New Port Richey, Fla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
