Richard L. Fetzer Towson sportsman

Services for Richard L. Fetzer, sales manager of United Automotive Electrical, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Roland Park Presbyterian Church, 4801 Roland Ave.

Mr. Fetzer, who was 48, died Friday of cancer at his home on Anneslie Road in Towson.

He worked for United Automotive Electrical 14 years, operated a Sunoco gas station on Cold Spring Lane in the Roland Park area in the 1970s, and, earlier, worked for the State Roads Commission.

Born in Baltimore and reared in Roland Park, he graduated from City College.

He competed in trap-shooting contests, hunted waterfowl and deer, and sailed, racing his 28-foot Columbia on the Chesapeake Bay.

Mr. Fetzer was a member of the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company; a former auxiliary fireman in Baltimore; a member of the Pompier Club, an organization of firefighting buffs; and a member of the Country Club of Maryland.

He is survived by his wife, the former Jo-anne Barbara Tumminello; his father, Patrick Henry Fetzer of Baltimore; and a brother, John Fetzer of Baltimore.
