Should Leonard retire ...
* After a lopsided loss to Terry Norris Saturday night, Sugar Ray Leonard announced that he would never fight again.
Of course, Leonard, 34, has retired before, numerous times in fact. This time, in light of his convincing loss and growing years, will he keep his promise?

... or come back like Lakers?
* A 16-game winning streak has convinced fans that the Los Angeles Lakers are about ready to reclaim their NBA crown. The Lakers, who have rebounded from a 2-5 start to hold the NBA's second-best mark at 35-11 at the halfway mark of the season, were selected by 24 percent of Evening Sun readers and other respondents to "It's Your Call" to reclaim the championship that was last theirs in 1987-88 and 1986-87.
In a virtual tie for second with 14 percent of the 676 responses were the Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers, who hold the NBA's top mark of 39-9.
They were followed by the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs (each with 13 percent), "other teams" with 10 percent, the two-time defending champion Detroit Pistons with 6.5 percent and the Utah Jazz with 6 percent.
"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically as would be done in a scientific public opinion poll.
