* A teach-in on the war in the Middle East will be held at 5 p.m. today at Gilman Hall on the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. Faculty and community speakers will discuss various topics related to the war.
The Central Maryland Red Cross will offer free support counseling for all military families, beginning today from 6 p.m. to p.m. at the chapter headquarters at 4700 Mount Hope Drive in the Seton Business Park of Northwest Baltimore. Support groups will be available for children 6 to 11, adolescents and adults. Group size will be kept at 15, but no limit has been placed on the number of groups that may be formed. * Christopher Hitchens, columnist for The Nation, will speak on "The Gulf War: . . . a Preservation of the 'Old' World Order" at 6 p.m. Friday in the Milton S. Eisenhower Library on the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. The event is open to the public and there is no charge.
