Singers appear in a prison drama

February 08, 1991|By Los Angeles Times

Singer-musicians Stephen Stills, David Crosby, Maria Muldaur and Bonnie Bramlett will make cameo appearances in Pellegrini-Finnegan-Willsfield Productions' "Platinum Blues," which rolls March 4 in Los Angeles under the direction of Ed Pellegrini. The music-oriented drama concerns a young musician who returns to the music scene after a gig in prison.

Another upcoming film about prison, Concorde's "Inside," starring Don Wilson, should be more realistic than most. Not only is it being filmed on location in the Los Angeles County jail, but one of the writers, Charles Mattera, is himself an ex-con.
